Summary: FEMA cooperative agreements supporting administration, grant management, training, exercises, vehicle and equipment procurement, storage, maintenance, and readiness for the 28 FEMA-designated National Urban Search and Rescue task forces.
The National Urban Search and Rescue Response System provides federal funding for the day-to-day administration, program and grant management, training, exercises, vehicle and equipment procurement, storage, and maintenance of 28 national task forces. Eligible applicants are limited to the 28 FEMA-designated Urban Search and Rescue Task Force Sponsoring Agencies. When deployed, the task forces support state, local, and tribal territories following natural and man-made incidents.
