Summary: Florida cost-reimbursement funding for eligible local law enforcement agencies and county detention facilities supporting cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, including training, detention, transportation, 287(g) task-force activities, qualifying officer bonuses, and essential equipment or technology.
The Immigration Grant Program provides first-come, first-served cost-reimbursement funding to eligible Florida local law enforcement agencies and county detention facilities that cooperate with federal agencies to enforce federal immigration laws.
Supported activities include immigration-enforcement training, temporary detention for ICE, transportation on behalf of ICE, travel and lodging for 287(g) task-force activities, qualifying officer bonuses, essential equipment and technology, and approved associated or incidental costs. Applicants must be registered in E-Verify and satisfy applicable state data-collection and reporting requirements.
The current FDLE opportunity page states that the program has been extended through June 30, 2027. The attached solicitation contains older June 30, 2026 dates and should be read subject to the extension or a formal amendment.
Who is eligible?
Applicant types: Florida local law enforcement agencies and county detention facilities registered in E-Verify.
Applicants must be registered in E-Verify under Section 448.095, Florida Statutes, and must be either a local law enforcement agency or a county detention facility. Local law enforcement agencies seeking reimbursement must attest to and verify compliance with the individualized and summary data-collection and reporting requirements in Rule 11QER25-2. An agency operating a county detention facility must also provide the applicable detention-facility summary-data attestation.
What can the funding be used for?
Allowable priorities include immigration-enforcement training and eligible related overtime, travel, and materials; temporary detention and housing of unauthorized aliens on behalf of ICE; transportation on behalf of ICE; travel and lodging directly related to active 287(g) task-force participation; qualifying one-time bonuses for credentialed law enforcement and corrections officers; essential equipment, hardware, and software for 287(g) task-force or immigration-enforcement activities; and Board-approved associated or incidental costs related to movement, transportation, lodging, temporary detention, security, or task-force participation. The current program page states that otherwise allowable activities conducted from February 17, 2025, through June 30, 2027, may be reimbursed, subject to the approved award and budget.
Restrictions
Unallowable costs include personnel costs to backfill an officer attending training or conducting transport; vehicles, vessels, or aircraft; construction; activities for which the agency has received or expects to receive federal or other funding; activities conducted from February 1 through February 16, 2025; and equipment purchased before the award or budget amendment is approved by the Board. Corrections-officer bonuses are not available for operations occurring solely at state correctional facilities. Costs outside the executed award budget or not directly related to authorized immigration-enforcement activities are not reimbursable.
How to apply
Submit a complete application through FDLE's AmpliFund electronic grant management system. Applications are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and must undergo the statutory review and approval process under Section 908.1033(4), Florida Statutes. Incomplete applications may be rejected; a corrected application may be resubmitted if funding remains available. No fixed application deadline is stated, and awards continue until available funding is allocated.
Required materials
A complete application submitted in AmpliFund, including a budget based on estimated program costs through June 30, 2027. Applicable law enforcement applicants must provide the required data-collection and reporting attestations. Equipment, hardware, software, and incidental-cost requests require the applicable justification, cost details, calculations, and Board approval described in the solicitation.
