FY26 Safer Outcomes: Enhancing Crisis Response Training for Law Enforcement

Who is eligible?
Applicant types: Local, state, tribal, and territorial law enforcement agencies; eligible law enforcement training academies; state-level regulatory bodies authorized to establish or mandate law enforcement training standards; and, for regional-center continuation funding, eligible educational, nonprofit, for-profit, small-business, or other organizations that received relevant program funding during FY21-FY25.
The agency-support opportunity is open to local, state, tribal, and territorial law enforcement agencies. Curriculum Integration is limited to law enforcement training academies and state-level regulatory bodies authorized to establish training standards or mandate law enforcement curricula, with listed governmental categories including state, county, city or township, special district, and tribal governments. Regional-center continuation funding is limited to organizations that received funding from the Safer Outcomes or Regional De-Escalation Training Centers programs in FY21-FY25 and qualify under the listed educational, nonprofit, for-profit, small-business, or other categories. Step 2 is submission of the full application, including attachments, through JustGrants by September 3, 2026, at 4:59 PM ET. The JustGrants deadline is the final application deadline.
